About Takayu Onsen
Takayu Onsen
Takayu Onsen sits on a 750m high mountain plateau. The all-natural hot spring town features warm, soothing waters that are known for their healing effects, and loved by many visitors. In partnership with Attakayu, several affiliated Japanese-style inns dot the landscape around town. Takayu Onsen features 6 ryokans (traditional Japanese-style inns) that offer a unique atmosphere and relaxing natural get-away that few people outside of Fukushima have the privilege to experience.
Situated on the northern end of the Bandai-Azuma Skyline, with easy access to Jododaira and Mt. Azuma-Kofuji, the area is a great place to explore the western area of Fukushima City. It is also one of the most popular places to witness the beauty of Autumn in Japanese.
